Abstract:
A dual band chessboard structure to reduce RCS is presented in this paper. Two AMC structures with different working frequencies have been selected to fill the cells of the chessboard. A 180deg difference is introduced to the reflected wave around the resonance frequencies of both AMCs, obtaining two operational bands. The black cells of the chessboard have been filled with an array of patches and the white ones with an array of spirals. The structure has been simulated and is currently being measured.
