Abstract:
The possibility of developing reconfigurable reflectors of light body and simple mechanics, based on squared elements, each one with a degree of freedom in z axis to be able to conform a good approximation to a desired reflector geometry, opens a great deal of technological solutions. One of the most suitable types of reflectors to be well configured by this mean is Fresnel- Zone-Plates (FZP), because of their planar shape and planar surfaces. A family of genetic algorithms (GA) designed to synthesize any desired radiation pattern is presented, as well as a set of experimental results.
