Abstract:
Bistatic synthetic aperture radar (BiSAR) is a space-variant system, and both the range resolution’s direction and the azimuth resolution’s direction are varying in space. Therefore the analytical calculation of BiSAR resolution in arbitrary direction, especially in the coordinate axis direction, is needed. Several models related to range and doppler are presented and analyzed along with the resolution cell. A simplified approach to fast calculating the resolution in arbitrary direction for bistatic SAR with arbitrary geometrical configuration is proposed. The simulation results are presented and the theoretical analyses are validated.
