Abstract:
Linear modulated stepped frequency radar mainly faces two problems which are precise motion compensation and precise motion parameters estimation, at high speed target Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imaging based on synthetic bandwidth. The improved temporal synthetic bandwidth motion compensation method is presented by analyzing the high speed target echo model of linear modulated stepped frequency radar in this paper. In order to estimate the target motion parameters accurately, the method employing envelop alignment and Doppler center estimation is advanced to fit the track of moving target. Moreover the original method of Doppler center estimation is ameliorated to increase the motion parameter estimation precision, aiming at the characteristic of target echo in ISAR. Finally the simulations testify the feasibility of the algorithm.
