Abstract:
The problem of radiometric calibration is of great importance for modern SAR systems. Passive point like targets - corner reflectors - are commonly used for that purpose One of problems while using corner reflectors is the effect of multipath propagation of radar signals, degrading calibration stability and accuracy. Super resolution technique, applied to the local area, containing the reflector is capable to eliminate the effect of multipath interference. The paper presents the results of processing of L-band airborne SAR data demonstrating the improvement of radiometric calibration accuracy.
