Abstract:
At the Fraunhofer-Institut für Integrierte Schaltungen RFID applications mainly operate in the vicinity of metal. We started to focus on the development of tags for the metallic environment. Actual projects are a Fraunhofer intern project Inguss, which deals with the implementation of sensor tags inside die-cast components. A UHF tag was designed for prototyping reasons and ensuring the feasibility of their usage on metal in a logistics application.
