Abstract:
In this paper, we present the results of a measurement campaign regarding the short range 60 GHz wireless channel. The measurements were performed inside an airplane cabin by the use of a component-based setup covering 1 GHz of bandwidth. We provide the values of fundamental measures like the delay spread of the channel and take a closer look at the structure of the impulse response from a physically-motivated point of view. Using the example of the measured in-cabin channel, we demonstrate an extended versatile evaluation technique to determine the main multipath components (MMPCs) of the channel.
